OUR URBAN farm

Øens Have is an urban farm and a place for memorable events.

We want to reconnect urban life with nature by inviting people to farm, cook, learn, and celebrate life’s big moments together with us in the garden

By creating an easily accessible, regenerative urban farm, we want to inspire urban citizens to reconnect through our weekly volunteer day, tours, longtable dinners, courses for kids and farm-to-table experiences.

Join us as a Volunteer and gain insights of working at an urban farm where we use regenerative and organic principles or become a CSA member and take home the produce from the garden.

We strive to follow Organic
and Regenerative practices

At Øens Have, we work with organic principles, using approved seeds, compost, and natural fertilizers while avoiding GMOs and harmful chemical additives.

Our approach goes further with regenerative agriculture, a framework that aims to improve the land rather than just maintain it. We focus on regenerating soil health, encouraging biodiversity, and creating circular systems where nothing goes to waste.

For example, we carefully disturb the soil as little as possible, let plants flower for bees before saving their seeds, and feed weeds to our chickens — then turn their nutrient-rich waste into compost. We also practice crop rotation and use cover crops to keep the garden thriving year-round.

THE RESULT

A farm that not only grows healthy, seasonal produce but also nurtures the ecosystem it depends on.

The purpose of urban farms

In our minds, the purpose of urban farms is not to feed the entire city. Rather, a farm like Øens Have grows to build connections between the producer and the consumer, the rural and the urban, the Human and the non-human. We want to reintroduce our local community to the origins of the produce in our supermarkets, and offer the opportunity to be directly involved in the side of the food system we don’t normally see, living in a city.

We look forward in welcoming you all🧡
