WE ARE LOOKING FOR A Chef & Food Communicator TO JOIN OUR TEAM this season

Øens Have is the largest urban farm in Northern Europe. In our urban farm on Refshaleøen, we grow seasonal, organic produce and create a unique farm-to-table experience, where you can taste freshly harvested vegetables, experience a sense of community, a place for education and for hosting private events in inspiring surroundings.

We are looking for a Chef & a good communicator to start late April until mid October.

We are seeking someone who loves organic, seasonal produce and who is passionate about creating delicious meals from locally grown ingredients. But this role is more than just cooking – we need a person who can communicate our vision, educate visitors, and inspire others to engage with local and seasonal food.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and serving seasonal, organic meals for private events, workshops, and long table dinners.

  • Sharing knowledge about our local produce, urban gardening, and sustainable food practices.

  • Supporting team-building and community events, helping participants connect with food, nature, and each other.

  • Engaging visitors and participants in hands-on experiences, encouraging them to explore seasonal cooking, biodiversity, and sustainable food systems.

YOU WILL HAVE ACCESS TO FRESH VEGETABLES FROM THE GARDEN JUST OUTSIDE THE KITCHEN, AND TOGETHER WITH OUR GARDENERS YOU WILL LEARN FROM THE FIELDS.

We prepare all hot food on our large outdoor grills and our two wood fired ovens. We work with produce from small-scale, local, organic farmers and sustainable, locally caught fish and seafood. Therefore you will be cooking food that reflects the season.

Your working week will be an average of 4 days a week, for a total of 40 hours.
